At a time of mourning for Maresa, it is a privilege to pay my own tribute to her, however inadequate it may be. Maresa befriended me at a time of personal trial in my own life. Her friendship, support and guidance steered me through, and she remained that rare and special person - a true and loyal friend. She was a confidante, always ready to give of her time and her valuable insight and wisdom...she leaves behind a big void. I was always made most welcome in her home and she took a genuine interest and concern in my family and friends. Her tales and anecdotes about her own family reflected her abiding love and pride in them...they brought such pleasure into her life, as I'm sure they are all well aware. I can inwardly recall so many personal remembrances of Maresa...her happy smile, her easy chatty talks and her beautiful singing voice. The way she accepted and resigned herself to MND was heroic, but through her iPad was still in communication with family and friends and at this time of great trial, the light of her faith guided her through. Typically though still thoughtful of how others were coping with her illness, especially her dear husband Bren. She remained cheerful throughout, an amazing witness to living out her faith. Farewell dear Maresa. Forever will I remember and be grateful for your acts of love and kindness. Rest In Peace dear friend. Colette
